At Lyra, we recognise testing as vital to our success. As a Senior Systems Test Engineer, you will take the lead in a wide variety of R&D and V&V test activities to support new product introduction and sub-system testing. 


The role
• Candidates will be expected to have significant demonstrable experience in design, build and commissioning of test rigs and facilities.
• Also, you will be experienced in sourcing and integrating measurement technologies.
• We are looking for an individual with a hands-on approach, a flexible can-do attitude, and who is constantly looking for ways to optimise test capability and methods.
• Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that we develop and deliver robust power electronic units to our customers. You may be working on more than one project.
• You will be proficient and comfortable working directly with customers and partners.

Requirements/Qualifications 
• Engineering Degree: BSc (Hons) minimum 2:1. Professional experience demonstrating equivalent competence in the discipline may be acceptable
• A minimum of five years working within a similar role, ideally in control or power electronics
• Working knowledge of test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, power analysers, spectrum analysers).
• Background in controls, software or electronics


Other advantageous skills
• Experience of system level product integration (such as whole vehicle)
• Knowledge of EMC and environmental standards, and applicable tests.
• Knowledge and experience with ASPICE and ISO26262 (or similar) would be an advantage.

• Review and constructive feedback of system requirements
• Performance testing
• Reliability and robustness testing
• Customer validation testing, such as testing the interaction of our products with customer equipment
• Automating test execution
• Managing data, configuration details and results in a highly organised manner
• Writing detailed technical test reports
• Supporting with impact analysis during change management process
• Participating in knowledge sharing activities contributing to your own and others’ professional development.
